Archana is a San Diego-based writer, editor and content creator with expertise in travel, food, health and more. Before moving to Southern California, she worked in New York City as a staff writer for People StyleWatch and Entertainment Weekly.
In 2011, she and her husband quit their jobs to backpack around Asia and South America for 13 months. After the trip, they landed in San Diego in 2013, and Archana joined the staff at San Diego Magazine, rising from temporary position during maternity leaves to staff writer, editor and senior editor. She also produces and co-hosts their weekly food podcast, Happy Half Hour.
Archana has also written for Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, Vogue, Sunset, Afar and Delta Sky, and wrote/edited sections of Fodor's San Diego (2017).
Beyond print experience, she also has on-air expertise, having appeared on Today, Access Hollywood, and NBC7 San Diego.
